Spend some time on the outskirts of Las Vegas in Boulder City, NV visiting the historic Hoover Dam. Your day will not be wasted indulging in the breathtaking views of this industrial wonder of the world. Access across the dam and parking is only permitted to "bob-tail" trucks. Parking for trucks is only allowed on the Arizona side of the dam. The nearby, very truck friendly, Hacienda Hotel and Casino allows you to drop your trailer during your stay and travel to the Arizona parking area which is only 4 miles away across the Hoover Dam. This Hacienda Hotel also offers Hoover Dam Helicopter rides and Lake Mead Cruises.

Approximately 2.5 miles across the Arizona/Nevada state line. Please patronize the Hacienda Hotel and Casino and check with them prior to dropping any trailers on their property.
Arizona Over Sized Parking Lot
Head east on US Hwy 93 South/Great Basin Hwy. Take EXIT 2 for Neveda Route 172 toward the Hoover Dam. Turn LEFT onto NV-172. Turn RIGHT to stay on NV-172 and continue onto Hoover Dam Access Road. Once you are across the Hoover Dam this road will continue as Kingman Wash Access Road. Follow it until you see parking area 13. You should see RV's and/or Campers in this lot.
Visitor Center Hours of Operation are listed online as 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PCT. Prices range from free, $8-$11, or up to $30 depending on which tour you choose and whether you are a child, adult, senior or U.S. Military.
