Through out our visit to the Mid America Truck Show, the Walmart Advanced Vehicle Experience Concept Truck seemed to be the big hit. People waited in long lines for their chance to get a glimpse of the newly designed technology fabricated into both truck and trailer. Updated not only for optimum performance and efficiency but also for driver comfort. When engineers began designing trucks, we believe this is what they had hoped they had the technology to create. It seems that in the next thirty years, their dreams may become a reality.
The display and presentation of both truck and trailer were immaculate. Complete with the Designer available as you entered the truck to answer any questions visitors may have.

The Walmart Advanced Vehicle Experience is a tractor-trailer combination that features leading edge aerodynamics, an advanced turbine-powered range extending series hybrid powertrain, electrified auxiliary components, and sophisticated control systems all in one package, developed in support of the company’s industry-leading sustainability program.
In 2005, Walmart, one of the nation’s largest private fleet operators, announced its goal to double fleet efficiency by 2015. Walmart trucks log millions of miles every year, so when it comes to sustainability and fleet efficiency, the goal is simple: deliver more merchandise while driving fewer miles on the most efficient equipment. As of last year, the company had achieved an 84 percent improvement in fleet efficiency over its 2005 baseline.
