BeBe only needed to travel from Topeka Kansas to Albuquerque New Mexico to once again be with her family but even on this short trip she made a big impression. BeBe needed to get home to her owner Emerald in NM but also needed some extra T.L.C. along the way due to her being blind. We met Kathryn in Topeka, KS. She is the wonderful woman that was watching over BeBe until they could get her safely transported back to her family. She was very kind in helping us get BeBe on board.

We were made aware that BeBe was partially blind and that she would need some care along the way. Once, we put her in the truck we sat for a while, allowing her to adjust to the new surroundings. She would walk around her new perimeter and gently touch things with her nose. We discovered that this must be how she remembers where things are. We made sure there was nothing in her way that she could fall over and harm herself. She was tiny in the big dog bed we layed on the floor.

Eventually she relaxed and layed down to sleep. BeBe was funny because she would sleep through us getting in and out of the truck, until we brought food in the truck. She would immediately smell it and pop up off the floor.

Emerald, BeBe's owner, drove with her two sons to meet us in Albuquerque New Mexico. Meeting them and delivering little BeBe was a delight. They were so kind and so gracious. Her two sons made sure to politely thank us for reuniting them with their friend. Emerald was so grateful to have BeBe back under her care. In the daily life of professional truck drivers, this was a short trip but little BeBe blessed our hearts with her love for life and meeting her family was a pleasure.
