Overview: Watch Video for Full Story:

” My name is Matt. I’m a truck driver, but I didn’t always used to be a trucker. I started in the military for six years after I graduated from high school. After the military I spent two years in automotive technician school. I thought it would turn to riches, but that didn’t work out either. So, I continued being a DJ and working on cars as a side project and then realized that I’ve always wanted to drive a truck.

It is a sacrifice though. Being away from your wife and kids and not being home to watch TV and do the normal things you do through your daily life. It takes a toll on you, but it’s worth it knowing your family is well taken care of.

It’s fun being out on the open road. Seeing all the different sights and all the different people; its just good times. However, there are times where you just feel like you’re in a rolling, six-by-six jail cell. You have to stay positive. You have to stay motivated. You have to stay hungry. You have to go after your dreams. My dreams just to be successful; whatever that may mean. For me it’s paying the bills on time and staying afloat.

You have to take pride in what you do. I like to keep my truck clean. People ask me, “Why are you wasting your time on a company truck?” Well, because I live in it. I take care of this truck because it is a reflection of me.”
