“I’m Dominick Soriano and I’ve been driving for three years and hauling cattle for about a year. I haul cattle from West Tennessee and Western Kentucky out to Texas Pan Handle, South-Western Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. I like hauling cattle because its pretty fast paced. Once you get there its pretty much as quick as you can get them on the trailer and get going. Once you get there its pretty much as fast as you can get them up off the trailer and go get another one. There usually isn’t a whole lot of wait at a dock or nothing. It’s pretty fast paced and you deal with real people. Everyone pretty much knows what’s going on. It’s a whole lot better than hauling freight I would say. I really like loading and unloading the cattle. I guess it’s an adrenaline rush. Its pretty cool getting in there with them and running them up in there.”

“I like to keep my truck clean. It looks good when you go pick up loads and deliver to customers. It helps keep the whole image. It makes you look better. If you have a really nice truck rolling in there then they probably have a better feeling about you hauling their cattle half-way across the country. It gives them less to worry about when they go to bed at night.”

“Trucking is what you make of it. I’ve been having a blast out here. You have to make the best of any situation.”
