"My name is Mark Staite and I drive for Prime Incorporated out of Springfield, Missouri. I started trucking about four years ago. It was kind of a life long dream, a wish, a want. Growing up in the seventies I remember watching T.V. shows like B.J. and the Bear. I remember always driving around with my brothers and my mom in the car and the three of us would give the arm pull to the truckers when we were kids. And no matter how many times we did it those truckers would always honk their air horn and scare the crap out of my mom. We just got a kick out of it when we were kids."
"I must have been forty one going on forty two when I finally decided, "You know what, I've had enough jobs in my life. Its time to do what I want." So, I went to school and became a professional driver. I haven't looked back. There's times when I want to get out of this. I want to quit driving and get off the road. Mary wants me home all the time, but she knows the drivers life. If I'm home more than three times a week then the jones hits and its time to get back on the open road because I really do love being able to see the country. I know it sounds corny and kind of weird, but there's something about having windshield time where you can just crawl in your head and think. But for me sometimes that causes trouble because I am just a little bit on the crazy side. Crazy in the sense of having that much windshield time and having that much time to crawl around in your own thoughts."
"I'm pretty much convinced that any professional truck driver could solve the world's problems if you give him enough miles out in front of him. If you give him enough time to think he'll solve the worlds problems."
"I started my YouTube channel because I needed some sort of creative outlet. If you go on social media you're always going to find the Billy Big Rigger, the Super Trucker who knows everything about trucking. No matter what little success a new driver might have it seems like most of the drivers what to put him down or say, "I did it bigger and I did it better!" To me that's demoralizing for a new lease operator or a new driver coming into the industry."
"With my YouTube channel I only put out videos when the content is good. If i can share information that I learn first-hand for myself and try to keep a new driver from making the same mistake, to me that's a video worth shooting. Because there's value to it. There's something to learn from it and I'm always going to keep doing it."
