“I started driving trucks back in 2004. I had to make a change. I wasn’t doing good. I worked construction, it was a life change, I’ve been doing it for thirteen years now, its bee good, its been bad, I love my job because I get to travel and I get to support my wife and kids.”
“I am proud to be a truck driver. I take pride in what I do. I take pride in my truck. I take pride that I will pull over and help a fellow driver in need. I’m not too good for that. I will go out of my way to help anyone that I can. When people call me a truck driver I hold my head high because I am proud of it. Because I am part of a great industry that keeps this country going.”
“When new drivers are coming into this industry and I run into them and they ask my questions one of the first things I tell them to do is to listen. Pay attention and take advise from the older generation. Another thing that I tell new drivers is to not pay attention to the guys that criticize them. Do not get nervous or do not get frustrated when you have other drivers making fun of you. Just do your thing and don’t worry about it.”
“When I decide to hang my keys up I want to be remembered for my kindness, my generosity, and my willing to help. I hope what I’ve taught other people will be passed along to other generations to come.”
