#Mats Mid America #Trucking Show 2017 Full Coverage

Petes, KWs, and Macks... Oh my!

While walking around the Mid-American Trucking Show one can't help but repeat the phrase, “Petes. KWs, and Macks... Oh my!”  Louisville, Kentucky is home to the largest heavy-duty trucking trade show in the world.  The show spans nearly the entire interior of the Kentucky Expo center filled with trucks, trailers, sleepers, and every imaginable industry gadget.  It overflows into the adjacent parking lot filled with beautiful show trucks of every make and model.  And if that isn't enough for you, the off-site free parking for visiting truckers is complete with food, charity events, and entertainment.

In search of a new job or company?  MATS is the place to see and be seen with recruiters from hundreds of trucking companies from across America.  In the market for a new truck or make-over for your sleeper?  MATS features floor models of all the major truck manufacturers, and custom sleepers you can crawl up in to explore.  Have a passion for nostalgia?  There is an entire section dedicated to a slice of Americana showcasing trucks from yesteryear.  Love the rat rods and tricked out show trucks?  Truck aficionados flock to Louisville each March to show off their latest chrome, flames, wraps, and rods at the convention center parking lot.

For decades MATS has set the industry standard in truck shows.  If you have never attended the Mid-American Trucking Show and ever have the opportunity to do so, you should.  Take the long weekend to walk around, admire the diversity and technology of this industry, hear some great music from fellow truck drivers turned recording artist such as Tony Justice and Bill Weaver, and visit with other drivers.  MATS is the spring break for truck drivers, filled with hours of entertainment, truck or treating from recruiter booths, and possibly the largest trucker cook-out in the world held each night in the free truck parking lot.  If you missed it this year, mark your calendar for the last weekend in March, and join us in 2018 for the next Mid-American Trucking Show!
